Current Release Genoscope-8x-2007

Assembly

This release is based on an 8x whole genome shotgun sequence assembly and annotation of the Vitis vinifera genome. These data were prepared by a French-Italian Public Consortium for Grapevine Genome Characterization under the auspices of the International Grape Genome Program (IGGP). Further details of the sequencing and assembly are available from Genoscope.

Annotation

• Various plant nucleotide sequences have been mapped to the genome, the mapped features can be viewed in contigview
• Putative orthologs between grape, Poplar Arabidopsis Sorghum, japonica rice, indica rice, glaberrima, and maize gene models were generated using Ensembl's compara pipeline.
• Whole genome alignments between Poplar and Grape, and Arabidopsis and Grape were generated by Ensembl's blastz-chain-net pipeline
